Stellenbosch District Riding Club (SDRC) has been in existence for 70 years, and during this time continually upgrade their facilities to a good condition, and continually upgrade and expand whenever possible or necessary. We support other non-profit organisations whose objectives, like SDRCs, are to nurture and develop our sport for children and the youth from all different walks of life. These organizations include the Helderberg Branch of the South African Pony Club, Western Province Para-Dressage Society (disabled equestrian athletes) and the Cape Winelands Region of SANESA (South African National Equestrian Schools Association), which is acknowledged by the South African Equestrian Federation (SAEF) and SASCOC, as well as the Carriage Driving Association including the Carriage Driving communities from Macassar and the Cape Flats. We provide such organisations with reduced fees, full access to all of our facilities and the opportunity to advance their objectives using SDRC to make it happen. Through the cooperation between organisations like these and SDRC our community can participate in sports to a far greater extent than if SDRC did not support such organisations.
